Beyond that place
Chapter Two - If it end with fire ( unfinished)The humans were so shocked that both the old man, and the odd woman were gone that their mouths just hung open in disbelief. “ No one is going to believe us. Hell, this will sound like some twisted fantasy novel gone wrong and missing the romance if we even speak about it.” “ Keep it between us “ Dan leaned back in his chair before getting up and leaving the room for his office with beige envelope slipped between his fingers with the words ‘CLASSIFIED’ stamped on it in bright red. He flung his office door open heaving a sigh as it smacked shut behind him. How in the world do you report elves? How would he explain this without being sent to the looney bin? His office had paperwork thrown about the desk from an old case which was never solved. Before he could set down the file he wiped the desk clean of any leftover files. Digging through his makeshift files about elves he found on the fly could now be edited to further identify a creature no human has ever laid eyes on before...or maybe they have but didn’t live to tell too much of a tale about it. First, he laid the envelope flat on the table placing one pile of modern ideas of elves in one side, with the other side as the most common skills for elves. If he was going to report this to higher ups it needed to look like more than just a scrambling of papers with little written work. His fingers then grabbed the first pile he made sifting through people modern ideas of elves while writing down a list of what is true about these creatures. In about three hours, he had a bulleted list that looked represented what he had witnessed. Flickering from his office light alerted him he had spent far more time dabbling in words that would get him labeled the craziest chief in the city. A cold cup of coffee laten with swirls of milk that came undone within the hours sat tauntingly at him. If he drank it now it would make him curl into a fatal ball from pain. “ Dan,” The office door swung open in a hurry. “ You should probably go hit the hay after your crazy encounters today. I mean...real elves? Who would've thought? “ Jack folded his mocha hands as he looked at his boss’s next mess to be uncovered. “ But the way I see it, You could sit here all night wasting your time, or go home to your wife with flowers.” “ My wife would hear this, and say I have been watching too much Game of Thrones lately...” He shook his head at Jack before getting up to grab his coat to head home.
Beast Realm Somewhere in a cave a dark red dragon hung his head to a human with her hand out. “ In the name of Aversia, we must save that child. Save the child from the corrupted truths she’s been told.” The red scaled dragon with cuffed horns protruding out from his ears blew out a tiny bit of smoke as if aggravated with the woman. Not many creatures get to traverse among giant beings that could end the world. Let alone an average human. Her hand was dark tan with purple atop the fingertips as he moved his head to allow her fingers to graze over the scales on his ears. “ I’m the only one with enough power to get her out, and teach her of the foul desires of her own breed.” Her fingers stopped petting the beast before touching a light brown strand of hair hidden under a black hood. She had sworn to the child’s mother that the halfling would never face the terror that the world would have for her. But she had failed like she did hunting. It was impossible to single handedly take down a giant saber tooth cat with only person. But her tribe made it so that if she did not do this there would be some sort of retribution like exile. Exile as a vampire could mean living in one of those dusty caskets for life being feed through a tube till they felt a few centuries went by, and few more before you had done your time. “Child, do remember you are a vile creature among creation. A creature meant to take life not endear it or savor it.” A man that was leaning along the edge of the cave spoke with glowing emerald eyes, and short raven hair. He was the head of the Earth beast tribe. One for life, and death. “ I can’t help what I was born as Zarkenith. I can only fight the urge to kill. It is what you beats have so lovingly taught me. A struggle within a struggle is not a way to live but a choice. I chose to fix our mess of the world. I did not make an Oath not to kill if it is within the means of my mission.” Her fingers dropped from the red beast to her side as she met Zarkenith square in the eyes. It is said a creature who looks a beast square in the eye dies from their own weakness. “ Yet, the human race writes us off as destructive creatures, and all other creatures consider us the forbidden evil among the world. Yet, you call us lovingingly creatures. You sound just like her. “ Zarkenith did not fold with the power of his glance and green orbs began to emanate around him as if trying to protect the human formed beast. “ I am not arguing that you beast's kill. I am a beast too, but majority of my kind like the lycans blended in with their food. I would call that natural evolution playing its part. I am saying that you have taught me to control my bloodlust. I might be able to get that child without killing a soul.” She waved her hand trying to assuage the anger of the green beast before slowly stepping back. “ We are thankful for the compliment. But remember child, out there if magic doesn’t exist to feed off of , you will over indulge yourself in human blood. A halfwit witch mixed with vampire is the cause for indulging yourself in too much. If the moment with my son a few years ago was any indication.” Zarkenith exposed his canine like teeth before the green orbs shattered like glass in the air. His son a few years ago was trying to her how to control not indulging herself in magic essence to the point that darkness consumes her. It took three beats and chains to stop her from nearly killing his son. But like all witches who overdose she did not recall the darned event no matter how many times he tried. “ I still have no idea what your son thinks of me for you to constantly be telling me I nearly killed him. He was just a boy.” “ Boys, hold grudges dear. Men get revenge. “ He turned to head out of the cave and into the forest while the fire beast next to her began to doze off. She recalled the day the beasts were drawn to her attention like a cat to catnip. Vampires were hardly ever a concern for beats as the creatures could easily be killed by witches, lycans, and humans. What had caught their attention was the estranged mix blooded powers that she had used years ago on in the human realm. Her job in the vampire coven was to kill any being that attracted too much attention from humans. A safeguard for most beings was to just avoid the realm altogether if they knew how to enter it. Humans would kill themselves off anyways. The job that banished her to the beast realm was a snipe job. A human reported was delving into the history of fantasy with the angle that people chose to barricade their brain from the abnormal. This reported are revealing secrets about Aversa in code which if humans had any books that have not been tarnished by magic would reveal the truth of their world. He was a handsome reporter with golden locks, and bright ocean eyes that could carry the depths of the sea within. She went in for the kill with her magic ready. But when she went to use the magic the work was reflected. The reporter was not a human. He was a spellbound follower to a witch. Deflection of my magic meant that he knew more about our world than what my instincts told me. We fought shedding electricity upon the empty sidewalks we stood on. Flames licked from our fingers as I continued to use what little magic I could feed off him as starvation began to tick. When I hit the core of hunger my magic left me in a bolt that exploded. Houses, homes, and people died including the witch follower. When I went up to the council they decided my half blood was too much for their world, or the human world, and placed me with the beasts.
Most half bloods are already doomed at birth. The disrespect of both their blood, their power proves too dangerous if it's mixed with magic.
