What’s trending: Mary Jane Craze
Today, I am going to cover a topic that is near and dear to me. The United States Mary Jane craze that our country is currently undergoing is occurring alongside a very dangerous heroin epidemic. Let me first discuss the Mary Jane craze as it’s a healthier drug in consideration.
Mary Jane is a short name for Marijuana on the streets. I don’t know why it’s nicknamed that but whatever the reason it is because people like the drug. Marijuana is cannabis plant that can be grown, is grown, and produces an effect of the human brain of relaxation. We are the generation begging for her to become legal. Right now, the United States has lessened the charge against someone holding an ounce or less of Marijuana in their pocket. I like to call this leniency due to a harder problem our society is facing.
Certain states have even legalized but due to our federal government there is no true freedom for the drug. Just states ignore the rule for medical marijuana that way people who need the drug have it. The medical use of the drug is constricted to people who have a terminal illness, spinal cord issues, cystic fibrosis, or severe epilepsy. I could go on how this is unfair when there are disabled people like my mother who face pain due to strokes daily.
Anyways, My mother does smoke cannabis on a regular basis to help assuage her pain from a stroke. But that’s not what this post is about. I found that the American Legion / Veterans are trying to get medical marijuana legal for them. I think they are the first group actively trying to make congress reconsider its place in federal law. This movement is huge because if the drug is moved we will see more people smoking it, and less people trying to hide or deal it on the streets. This can leave our society with an open window to focus on harder drugs like Heroine.
In my opinion, Mary Jane is a way better craze than Heroine. I’m an activist for drugs that do not harm you physically. Though, smoking Mary Jane may make you paranoid rarely does someone die from an overdose of it. I’m sick of seeing people try to fight this law, but they refuse to see what it can do for us. We would have an opportunity to close in on drugs that are killing people. Hell...Mary Jane is way less harmful than Alcohol. Maybe, another prohibition...jk jk
Do you think the Mary Jane craze is a good thing or do you think that Mary Jane has led people to Heroine? Comment, share, like, spread the word. My next posts are challenge posts; Humanism, and television, along with another beyond that place post. Thank you.
