The Terrorism crisis epidemic
Within the last four years, Terrorism has become a common problem. I am not talking about specific people when it comes to this type of act, but an act of itself. We call any act that takes innocent lives without reason as an act of Terrorism. I consider Terrorism the worst form of killing someone because it is irrational, and typically done to make massive amounts of people mad. Lately, the acts of Terrorism are all over the place from everyday people deciding they have had enough, to Isis taking claims, and police officers shooting people wrongfully. Almost every other day, there is an act of terrorism on the television that alerts us of the fact.
Terrorism is a disease like the zico virus that spreads its vicious wings across the world. This epidemic is not easily pressed away as the problem is not just a group of people, but people in general. If the epidemic here was like an actual medical disease it would easily be put down, or fought against furiously. However, Terrorism is not such an easily accessible disease. It is like a game of chess but you can never pin down the king because the king can never be found. We are investing our time in investigating terrorism but not the act itself, or the prevention that needs to be taken.
The acts that made us all cry are all acts of Terrorism. Even if we do not want to believe it, the fact remains if one dead body in on the floor for no reason we have an act of terror. People in America did not fear Terrorism till we saw it hit our front doors with nine eleven in two thousand and one. I do believe that it is unjust that most civilians ignored the danger residing within the world. We awoke like lighting to this act. It shattered us completely into going to war. We went to war with the problem but not the solution. I feel we are still at war with the problem but not the solution. For instance, our war may have killed one person responsible but there will always be someone to take that place. Hence, we now have to deal with ISIS.
Aside from the current rise of ISIS, we have another problem. The acts of angry people. Angry people with guns or any form of weapon are likely to slaughter out of sheer need to relieve their pain. We can look at Sandy Hook, where the shooter shot up innocent school students just to release his hate against the world. The we have the Oklahoma theater shooting where the man wanted to be The Joker and shot up innocent people during a movie release. Another act of terrorism done by a regular American. The acts done by regular angry citizens began to grow as we witnessed the Boston Bombing, the Pulse club shooting, and the Police Officer shot by a man for doing their job. The officer who shot an innocent man. I mean if I tried to recount every act of terrorism in the past five years I feel my list would be never ending which is saddening.
Now, Let’s talk about the acts of terror around the world we have been told about. In Japan, a man slaughtered fifteen innocent people leaving a bloody mess somewhere. While Paris, had a gunman gun down people at a mall for no reason. The guy was not connected to Isis. Then we have the Paris attacks connected to Isis, and the attacks on the U.S claimed to be ISIS and it just looks like the war on terrorism is going so south we can’t consider fixing it.
I think fighting the problem has become the problem. I mean if we made more of a specific anti-gun law it would be awfully hard for someone to kill someone else. We need to fight for the solution. Our solution could be a war against guns, it could be a war for better health treatment, and it could be a war for a better country. But we need is to look at the solution not the problem at hand.
