My summer reading suggestions for my fellow readers
I am writing an odd post today because screw it. It’s summer. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty. My first reason for writing this is that I know some of you enjoy reading as much as I. ( For those that don’t read as much I will have a must-watch list under this one.) For each book I will post the cover of the book and then the reason I suggest reading. No worries, J.K rowling new script will be on here.
This book is being turned into a movie. Do not get me wrong here...I am not saying go read this book because it’s a movie. We have all seen some horrible movie adaptations. I found this book delves into a lot of deep questions about society, and family that simply take a lot of time to understand. This is why it is best to read over the summer. What do I mean by deeper meaning? The main character is teenager who loses his grandfather that use to tell him weird tales from World War Two. His childhood he grew up believing these tales, and watched his Grandfather die seeing some weird creature. People believed him to be psychotic or suffering from loss so he is sent to a shrink. You’ll have to actually read the story to find out what devastating event makes him actually go visit the island of his Grandfather’s tales. I will say this is a tale to read like it’s Harry Potter.
You can not be satisfied as a Harry Potter fan unless you pick up this book over the summer. I mean who doesn’t want to delve into the life of Harry after all the important crap goes down. Hell, I am only reading it to laugh about Hermione and Ron’s divorce. (Totally joking.) I know it hasn’t hit shelves yet but I swear to you I will be reading this at some point.
This last one is a must read. I enjoy the idea of it so much that I am pretty sure it’s on my must read list like a hundred times. It’s a bit out there for a novel but it is one the more interesting young adult novels out there. I may not read too often but this is certainly a good suggestion that I can assure you will mind blow you.
Anyways, I have a lot more time for watching television. I will share three shows that should be watched over the summer.
The series of unfortunate events -soon to be on netflix- super excited
Shameless-because everyone loves silly things
